Busy Bees!

It has been a pretty busy week! One that went by so quickly too. We had our last school group and our last church group until fall, spring went by so quick! With the last school group, Chloe really wanted to go wall climbing, so we waited until one evening when the group wasn't using it and let her go! She made it all the way to the top, and if I'm not mistaken, with little or no "help" from Trev, who was belaying her! She is our athletic one!
Here is Chloe Climbing and at the top!

Natasha also really wanted to go wall climbing, but unfortunately she was a bit too small for the littlest harness. Trev helped her boulder a little bit, but she was in tears of devastation when she realized she couldn't climb to the top!! Maybe by the end of summer she will be big enough!
She is a dress-up queen, both of them are actually! But it is a daily (and sometimes multiple times daily) occurance that she comes out of her room in a fancy white dress. She loves being a princess and Chloe is the queen! This is her favorite dress-up dress at the moment. I wore it at 5 when I was a flower girl at my Uncle's wedding!!

It's hard to believe that Shiloh is two weeks old already! She has changed so much in two weeks. I'm still amazed after three kids that change happens so quickly! She has gained a little over 10oz in one week, is holding her head up a lot more, and is way more alert with her eyes! It's such a wonder to see! She has, for the past two nights, only woken up once in the middle of the night! Normally she would wake up twice, between the hours of 11:30 and 8:30. The first night she did that, both Chloe and Natasha slept in till almost 10, so I had a REALLY good sleep that night (and morning)!
I took a few pics for her "two week" mark, so here they are. There's one of her sleeping on her Daddy's pillow, and also an adorable yawn!

In september Chloe is going to be a flower girl with another Chloe at a former Red Rock staffers wedding. Jill (the bride-to-be) was Chloe's favorite person for those two summers and if I didn't know where she was, all I had to do was find Jill and Chloe would typically be with her, lol! So this week we went dress shopping, Jill and the two Chloe's! It was such a fun experience trying on fancy dresses. Natasha tried some on too, because she didn't want to feel left out. :) Jill took some pictures in our van of the kids while we were in the city! So fun!
This is Jill with Chloe and Anika her last summer here on staff. And the other picture is the other Cloe, who was a camper of Jill's! I wish I had taken some pictures of the girls trying on stuff, but I forgot to bring the camera in the store, despite having to go out to the van twice to change and feed Shiloh!!

A little note about Goober and her seat in the van. She is sitting in a built-in child car seat in our van and for the past few trips in we've let her sit in that instead of putting in her other car seat, which is totally fine, except that after a while in the built-in one, her poor little bottom gets sore and we've had a few late night drives home and she would be crying because her 'bum hurts'. So needless to say, her original car seat is back in the van!! But at this point in time she is enjoying herself hugely!

A Sunshiny Day!

Today my mom and niece came out to camp to help out, and hang out. Trev had to be gone all day and we thought it would be a good idea to have some company and extra help for me, since our girls are so busy and I'm not quite up to keeping up with their daily marathon, lol! They had a really good time, spent a good deal of the day outside because it was sunny despite a rain forecast (such a welcome change of weather!). I got a much needed nap in, and the girls had some fantastic playtime outside, even going to the beach and getting soaked from head to toe, literally! :) My mom, out of the goodness of her heart also made supper for us and brought it out! Which was a blessing, because even though I know they would've enjoyed Mac 'n Cheese, this tasted awesome and was WAY healthier, lol!
Getting some time in with our little bundle!

The girls having a great time hanging around! Chloe and Natasha love having their cousin around to play with :)

Our first week at home!

So, it's officially been 1 week with Shiloh :) Things have been good. . . a lot of adjustments, figuring out a new family dynamic and all the changes a new baby brings. I think the biggest changes are for Chloe and Natasha. They have had the most to adjust to, I think they are trying to see where they fit into this new way of life, and don't quite understand why Mommy is so tired, or can't ride my bike yet, and want to sleep a lot. But in one week, we are starting to get it together. It will take time and patience on all our parts, but we will get there. With prayer and supportive friends and family, we're heading in the right direction.

Chloe loves being the big helper holder of Shiloh whenever I need, and they just love coddling her anytime she's not in her crib :) Goober more wants me than Shiloh. She's been a bit of a Momma's girl and I think is missing her Mommy, so we're working on making Mommy more of a priority for both girls.
Here is Chloe, she does such a good job holding and taking care of Shiloh. Shiloh calms down in Chloe's arms (unless of course she's waiting for food, lol!)

This is Shiloh sleeping, there's something so precious about a sleeping child, they have such a peaceful look about them <3

Mmmmmmmmmmmm, RIBS!!!

So both our girls LOVE ribs! Natasha doesn't like a whole lot of meat, but ribs is something she will eat and ask for more!! Mostly she likes her veggies, salad, breads and fruit, but ribs are one she'll always come back for! Chloe on the other hand is almost strictly carnivorous. She is no rabbit. Meat and potatoes is her favorite. It's so funny, between the two of them they'll eat everything, as long as Chloe gets the meat and Natasha gets the veggies, lol! Here they are eating ribs that Matt made for staff.

Deer oh Deer
Well, we went into Steinbach on Father's Day. Before we were discharged from the hospital, they forgot to do one test on Shiloh and said it was important to have done before she was 5 days old. So in we went. We made a great day of it, going out for lunch with our good friend Andy, then hanging out with Terry and April for the afternoon, and Jason and Pamela in the evening. We had a lot of fun. It was busy and we ended up driving home late. It seems there sure are a lot of deer out now, and we made it about 5 minutes from home when all of the sudden a crazy scared deer ran right in front of us and well, he's history! So now we have an autopac claim to go thru and, something I didn't know was if you have carseats in a vehicle, no matter the severity of the crash, autopac replaces them. Well, I'm not going to complain about getting a new carseat for free, but it is somewhat of a hassle. So just a word of caution. . . there are a lot of deer out. We keep hearing stories of people hitting deer. One guy we talked to said he hit two in one day! Yikes!!

Shiloh Naomi Wilson

She's Here - Shiloh Naomi Wilson!!

After spending 11 days in steinbach waiting for our newest little one to arrive, Shiloh Naomi Wilson arrived June 16th at 9:50am. She weighed 8lbs 9oz, and 20 inches long. She is beautiful and so precious!! Chloe and Natasha LOVE having a new baby sister around and can't seem to hold her enough or help out enough! They sure are wonderful little helpers! They have had a few late nights lately and now that Shiloh is waking them up earlier in the am, we have some really tired moments between all of us. But once we get a little more settled, I think it will even out and being home is nice, we can get them back into their regular bedtime routine, which will definately help!! Anyways, just wanted to post some pics of our new little bundle to share with you!!

Almost ready!!!

So now that we are down to the last DAYS before our little one arrives, I'm so excited to show pics of what her room looks like! It's been a work in progress for a few months now! We painted, then set up the crib and started bringing stuff into it, then got some cute wall decals, made some art decor-y things and now are just waiting for the dresser and bookcase my dad is making as well for our little girl!! But here is what it looks like right now :)

Summer is here!?!

We have been enjoying such beautiful weather this spring! In April our girls played at the beach, getting their feet wet, building in the sand. Our girls basically live outside on their bikes, or on the swings, & playing with the other kids out here! It really is wonderful. I have loved relaxing outside, hanging laundry, visiting, getting projects done before our little girl arrives (ie. re-organizing our shed was a big one!)all while the kids are playing!! There's never a dull moment here :)

These pics are a bunch of different things our kids have been doing. From helping out in the yard, biking, playing at the beach, they are always having such a good time!!

Trev has been tackling some big projects as well. The last week of april, he and our good friend Carlos fixed and re-did the kitchen roof of Pine Lodge and then the next week he was in Winnipeg at Red River College taking a water treatment course, and since he's been back, he's been so crazy busy with all the big and little projects, not to mention the unexpected projects that are always bound to pop up. He has a really good assistant, and the crew of guys on spring staff maintenance that are here have helped out significantly and allowed him to get stuff done more quickly without sweating the small stuff. And even though a fair amount of the work his s.s. crew does is mowing, or cleaning, these guys have a great attitude and do it without complaint!
Here Trev is pull starting the food delivery truck! (one of the 'unexpecteds', lol)

This one is Trev fixing a squeaky dashboard and a few other issues on the camp car. . .

This one he's felling a tree, two guys are there to pull on it incase it leans too much one way. But this tree needed to come down. If it fell on it's own, there's a house one way, power lines another and other buildings all around. So it was necessary to come down. Once down he could see that ants were already doing some serious damage that weakens the trunk. So it was a very good thing!!!

Chloe's new bike arrived in April and we thought there might be a learning curve going from pedal brakes to handle brakes, but she transitioned as if there was no other way of braking!! She flies on that bike, it is such a workout to keep up with her!!
